Now that we're just a couple of weeks away from the official start of summer... things at the doctor's office are starting to slow down. But there are a couple of things going around.
In the central part of the springs, Dr. Tom Bartlett with Mountain View Medical Group is seeing a lot of upper respiratory infections.
He says it presents with nasal and chest congestion, a low grade temperature and a cough.
Expect it to last up to five days.
And here's what you can do to treat it... over-the-counter pain and fever meds like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, cough suppressants and increased fluids.
These upper respiratory infections are affecting adults.
But kids in the springs are still dealing with some pink eye. But this week it's happening on the southwest side of town. That's according to Dr. Steven Reich. So keep those hands washed... so you can get out and enjoy this beautiful weather.
