We're coming to the end of cold and flu season. But that can make you and your kids more susceptible to getting something else... pneumonia.
On the east side of Colorado Springs... Dr. Alan Garscadden with CSHP is seeing an increased number of pneumonia cases in kids ages 2-10.
Here's what to look for:
You'll notice a cough, shortness of breath and a fever. Another symptom includes feeling tired and even nausea and vomiting.
So here's how to treat it. Get lots of rest and lots of fluids. Also, if your pneumonia is caused by bacteria and not a virus, you may need antibiotics. See your doctor to find out what's best.
