If you have cold symptoms that won’t go away, it may not be a cold. It may be asthmatic bronchitis. KKTV reported it going around a few weeks ago.
Dr. Tom Bartlett with Mountain View Medical Group says it still has a hold of folks in the central part of the Springs.
He says it starts with an upper respiratory infection. That includes symptoms like nasal congestion, cough, headache, mild muscle aches and pains and a low-grade fever.
Treatment includes inhalers, antibiotics and sometimes steroids.
Also going around this week… more influenza.
This is happening on the southwest side of town, according to Dr. Steven Reich with C.S.H.P. reports more cases in his office.
He says it may seem like a bad cold, with lots of coughing. But you may want to see your doctor just in case.
