Hopefully, you had a healthy start to the New Year.

But beware… there’s a nasty stomach flu making the rounds on the East Side of Colorado Springs and it’s targeting adults.

That’s according to Dr. Doug Clark with Mountain View Medical Group.

This is a viral infection.

You’ll notice the sudden onset of abdominal cramps.

Then nausea, vomiting and a low-grade fever will also set in.

But with the bug Dr. Clark is seeing, there is less diarrhea.

He recommends bed rest, clear fluids and anti-emetics (drugs that help fight nausea and vomiting), such as Phenergan and Dramamine.

Dr. Clark says this stomach bug lasts about three days.
