In Briargate, Dr. Michael Halenkamp with Colorado Springs Health Partners reports cases of a viral illness. He says it’s affecting people of all ages.

Symptoms of this virus include vomiting and diarrhea. So, you’re going to have to watch out for dehydration. Here’s what you do: Drink lots of fluids. But avoid fruit juice, because Dr. Halenkamp says that can actually make diarrhea worse. So stick with water or milk.

Keep in mind that with a viral infection like this, diarrhea can last up to two weeks. So do your best to stay hydrated and you’ll be on the mend soon.
