Runny nose, congestion and cough... This time of year, you might assume its allergies.
But that's not the case in the central part of the Springs. There's been a resurgence of viral bronchitis.
That's according to Dr. Tom Bartlett with Mountain View Medical Group.
Here's what he says to look for: symptoms like a cold... a runny nose, cough, nasal congestion, and shortness of breath. That's followed by a low-grade fever.
He says it usually lasts 1-2 weeks. Here's what he suggests: supportive cough meds and Tylenol for your fever. Dr. Bartlett says this occasionally develops into a bacterial infection. So you might needs antibiotics. Talk to your doctor about the best treatment plan for you.
