NASA delivered a piece of the Space Shuttle Columbia to Sabin Middle School earlier this afternoon.
It was a leading wing edge from the former space shuttle.
The donation was nearly halted because of the shipping cost, but FedEx offered to pay the complete cost of the shipment.
The wing edge was flown in around one this afternoon and will be kept at Sabine Middle School for the foreseeable future.
