A "secured perimeter status" has been lifted at The Pueblo Academy of Arts. The measure was a safety precaution because of a police investigation.
Secured perimeter means the school was still under normal operations, but police secured the inside and outside. The only way to get into the school was provide a name/ID and a reason for being there.
The secured perimeter status Tuesday is unrelated to the one at Heaton Middle School, also a District 60 school, last week.
