Starting Sept. 2 there will be parking restrictions in the neighborhoods near the UCCS campus.
Parking will no longer be allowed between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday without a permit.
Neighbors say it's a relief.
"On Mountview they'd park all the way up to where the intersections were and you'd have to get way out in the street before you could see if there were any cars coming," said Moses Ward.
There is a long-term solution on the way. UCCS is working on a new parking garage. It's currently under construction. It will provide more than 1,200 parking spaces and should be done next spring.
