Elementary students in Lewis-Palmer District 38 will have five more minutes of class starting Jan. 13.

The extra time will ensure students will have the state mandated time in class this year. The time was added because the district has had several snow closures this winter. The district also says this will help in case of future closings.

Classes will now go from 8:50 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. each day for the rest of the year. Bus pickup will also start five minutes earlier.
