A Molotov cocktail was thrown in a parking lot outside Doherty High School early Thursday morning.
Police say the device was thrown in the parking lot sometime after 5 a.m.
According to a note posted by Principal Dennis Vigil on the school's website, a building manager found the fire and went to retrieve a fire extinguisher around 5:30 a.m. By the time he returned, the fire had burned itself out.
Nothing was damaged by the fire.
Police don’t have any suspects, but say they are reviewing surveillance video.
The school is located on Barnes Road, just east of Austin Bluffs Parkway.
