A juvenile is in custody after an incident this morning that briefly put an elementary school on lockdown.
Martinez Elementary, on Rangewood Drive on the east side of the Springs, was placed on lockdown status around 10 a.m. Thursday morning, April 2.
The lockdown was a precautionary measure due to reported suspicious activity in the area. When officers responded they located a juvenile with an outstanding warrant for burglary charges.
The juvenile was arrested and the school was taken off of lockdown status 20 minutes later, at 10:20 a.m.
