Colorado Springs District 2 says Harrison High School was on a lockout status on Tuesday while authorities investigated a Safe 2 Tell tip.
A spokesperson with the district says lockouts are a precautionary measure, and in place to give authorities a chance to investigate the anonymous tip.
Harrison High School issued the following statement on their Facebook page:
"The lockout at Harrison High School will remain in effect through dismissal as we continue to gather information. Instruction is happening as usual inside the school, and dismissal will take place at the normal time. Thanks for your understanding as we work to always ensure the safety of our students."
