Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
When you get into your car in the morning, remember that an eye in the sky may catch you speeding.
Wednesday, Colorado State Patrol used an aircraft and extra troopers to catch speeders on Interstate 25 near Pueblo.
Troopers pulled over 21 cars in about two-and-a-half hours, and gave tickets to all but one of those drivers.
The typical speed of those drivers was between 10 and 19 miles over the speed limit.
The Colorado State Patrol tells us that they use a system where a plane flying overhead catches speeders and then radios ahead to troopers on the ground.
The plane then tracks the speeding car until a trooper catches up with them.
Troopers tell us that they use this method from time to time when the weather and workload permit them to.
