You can now drop off your phonebooks to be recycled. The Pueblo-City County Health Department announced on Monday that phonebook recycling will now be available until September 30.
The health department is partnering with C&C Disposal and Dex DirectoryTM to provide six public drop-off locations in the City and County.
Here is a list of the different locations:
-C&C Disposal, 21 Magneto, Pueblo West
-Colorado Mental Health Institute-Pueblo Campus, near the soccer field off W. 24th St.
-Girls Scouts of Pueblo Office, 21 Montebello Avenue
-Mesa La Gree’s Market, 27050 Hwy 50 East
-Pueblo West Library, 298 Joe Martinez Boulevard, Pueblo West
Look for a brown dumpster outside each location with a Dex Phonebook recycling banner attached.
In a press release, DEX says that phonebooks are both recyclable and manufactured with a high percentage of recycled content. Not only can it make more directories, but also they can be recycled into insulation, drywall and other products.
For more information about phonebook recycling, call the Pueblo Recycling Hotline at 719-583-4924.
