A suspicious item found in the Pueblo Municipal Court’s mailbox Monday morning was inspected by bomb technicians. They found nothing dangerous inside.
A Pueblo Police Department Report describes the item as a tube with some wadded paper addressed to Chief Valez. The report says that a police corporal was given the item by a record clerk, but put it down and summoned bomb technicians to examine the contents.
The lobby and municipal court areas were evacuated for about a half hour.
The Police Department says the item was found to be a cardboard tube and some documents, including an old article about organized crime. It contained no threats or dangerous materials.
