Suspected Kidnapper Of 9-Year-Old Back In Court

The man accused of kidnapping a 9-year-old girl, setting off a high-profile Amber Alert, will be in court Monday.

Pueblo County Sheriff's Office

In January, a 9-year-old girl outwitted her kidnapper, alerting authorities to her whereabouts the moment she had access to a phone, then drawing enough attention to herself that her abductor got spooked and ran.

The alleged abductor was arrested in downtown Colorado Springs hours later.

Monday, the suspect in Calysta Cordova's kidnapping, 29-year-old Jose Garcia, will be in court.

He is currently being held in the Pueblo County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

11 News will be in the courtroom Monday, and will let you know what happens.
