Police are looking for a woman who they say used three stolen checks in different locations in Pueblo recently.

The checks were taken from a checkbook left in a purse that was stolen out of a woman's vehicle. Police say the female suspect forged the checks and tried passing them off as her own.

The suspect was caught on surveillance camera at a convenience store. Police now need help identifying her. She's described as being a heavy-set Hispanic woman with dark hair, a blue t-shirt and black pants. She's believed to be in her 30s.

We've reached out to police to get more information on the dates these alleged crimes took place.

If you have any information that can help police locate this woman, call 719-553-2502 or Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
