He asked for directions, but police say his real goal was to steal a woman's purse. The suspect then used the stolen credit cards found inside the purse to make purchases at several locations throughout Pueblo.
The suspect grabbed the purse in the parking lot of the King Soopers at 102 W. 29th St. in Pueblo. He asked an elderly woman for directions to I-25, but entered her car and grabbed the bag when she was finished.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 20 years of age. He has a slender build, brown hair, mustache and goatee. He ran from the woman's car to a gray or silver Chevrolet and drove away.
The victim's credit cards were used several time throughout the city.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP.
