An "upscale" gentleman's spa--as stated on its website--has shuttered its doors after two prostitution stings.
The Pueblo Police Department says the Eden Relaxation Center turned in its sales tax license and closed its doors Thursday. This came on the heels of two prostitution stings within three weeks. Police arrested 45-year-old Jazmine Laos and 23-year-old Kara Blumenthal for prostitution on June 21, then followed those arrests with two more on July 9: 20-year-old Tracey Velasquez and 31-year-old Darla Rodriguez.
As police, city attorneys and Pueblo's Sales Tax Division began collaborating to put together a notice of revocation, the police department says that the spa voluntarily surrendered its license Thursday.
The women who were arrested each face a mandatory court appearance, and will have to pay a $1,000 fine and take a HIV test if convicted.
