The Pueblo Police Department says 32-year-old Phillip Vigil has been released from prison. He is categorized as a sexually violent predator.

Vigil was convicted of sexually assaulting a girl in 2001, which gave him the sexually violent predator status. He's also been convicted of burglary, theft, assault and a restraining order violation in the past.

He is listed as homeless in the Pueblo area.
