Pueblo City Councilmember Judy Weaver has resigned due to health concerns. Weaver has served on the Council since January 2006.
“Judy is a very intelligent, hard working individual who has given selflessly of herself while serving on the Council,” said City Manager Jerry Pacheco. “Judy needs to do what’s best for her, and we need to thank her for serving this community in such an exemplary fashion. She will be greatly missed.”
“Judy’s intellect and preparation are unmatched, and we are going to miss her immensely,” said Council President Chris Kaufman. “Among other things, she understood the City’s budget better than most, and she will be difficult to replace. The Council wishes her well. She will be sorely missed.”
The position of councilmember from District 1 will be filled by someone appointed by the remainder of the council.
