After flashing a gun at a dollar store employee, police say an armed robber took off, disappearing from the crime scene before officers could arrive.

Pueblo police believe the suspect was caught on camera, and are hoping surveillance photos, which can be seen above, will help catch him.

According to police, a store employee could hear the suspect ripping security tags off various merchandise at the Family Dollar, located at 1151 S. Prairie Ave. in Pueblo.

When the employee went to confront the suspect, police say he pulled up his pant leg and showed off his handgun. The employee told officers he could see the barrel of an "unknown type stainless handgun."

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, about 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-4. He had short brown hair and a goatee on his chin with no mustache. He was reportedly wearing jeans, a light-colored t-shirt and a black puffy ski jacket.

If you have any information on this incident, call the Pueblo Police Department at 719-553-2502 or Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
