Officers chasing a car theft suspect Monday morning lost him in a Pueblo neighborhood. They found and arrested him a few hours later.

Police say they pursued Daniel Juarez who was driving a stolen dark green 1995 Honda Prelude with a loud exhaust system on March 26, at about 1:00 p.m. The car is also described as having a tall rear spoiler, chrome wheels, tinted windows and a black and red steering wheel cover with a Chinese emblem on it. It does not have any Honda logos on it.

At the time of the police pursuit, the car had a stolen license plate number 754-WHU. The original plates are 737-XHR.

The chase began when officers spotted him at 24th Street and Montezuma. They followed him to the area of the 1500 block of Greenwood, before he disappeared.

Police say Juarez is a known car thief with a history of drug use.

Officers eventually found him around 4:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Denver Blvd. in Pueblo.

@ What can we do -- You have it all figured out don't you. Holy moley you're a piece of work. You posted your comment thinking everyone was going to jump to your aid. That's funny... These silly laws you speak of are in place because of nanny cry babies like you!

That hockey jersey with the "marijuana leaf" was a NHL jersey from Toronto. Do you really think drug dealers wear a uniform? If you think the majority of Colorado Springs are junkies and criminals, it really says more about your friends and family than an entire city populace.

The majority of people in Colorado Springs are dope smokers, junkies and/or criminals. Too obvious. This was evident at the St. Patrick's Day parade where I saw one fat stupid kid in Pioneer Park wearing what looked like a football or hockey jersey with big marijuana leaves on it. He was carrying a backpack which, I would almost guarantee, had marijuana in it. Can someone tell me why some idiot who was so obvious cannot be searched by a cop? Can someone tell me why there are obvious criminals all around us in this town and we have to wait for them to commit a crime and/or hurt someone before the police can do something about them? I am not blaming the police, because people in general are responsible for some silly laws holding the cops back from doing their job. I say we start getting the scum off the street by letting the police actually do their job. France took sort of the same step when they told Arab women they couldn't wear their head covers in public. It made sense. Why can't we do what is sensible too?

"The majority"? Seriously? Your math is beyond fuzzy, it's downright idiotic, as is the rest of your post (we should emulate French social policies? Great idea; let's have some white flags manufactured pronto!). Quit being so paranoid and looking for issues where none exist.

"Can someone tell me why there are obvious criminals all around us in this town and we have to wait for them to commit a crime and/or hurt someone before the police can do something about them?" It's called the 4th amendment. Try reading.

Are They just gonna put him back out on the streets to do this again? Obviously the idiot isn't going to change his way, so keep him off the streets, and don't let him have another chance to make someone else suffer because of his stupidity.

Just another example of our wonderful judicial system. A long history of vehicle thefts and drug use...and he's still at it. Rehabilitation is really working.
