Police Rule Woman's Death a Homicide

Police officers and firefighters were called to a home in Pueblo after receiving reports of smoke and the sound of an alarm.

Once inside, authorities found the body of a 42-year-old woman. Police are now calling her death a homicide.

Two persons of interest have been identified in the case. The first is Kasai Ciofassa, 23. He is described as a black man, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. The second is Donna Tortessi, 32. She is described as a white woman, 5-foot-5 and 196 pounds. She has black hair and green eyes.

Both are wanted for questioning.

Police say the pair may be in the victim's silver 2008 Chevy HHR, license plate 322-GQA. The vehicle was missing from the home.

Ciofassa is already wanted on unrelated charges for motor vehicle theft. He is considered armed and dangerous.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
