New jobs are coming to Pueblo with the arrival of a new manufacturing company.
The Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO) announced Monday that a Canadian Company, FRE Composites, would be locating a new manufacturing facility in Pueblo.
The company expects to employ 30 people with its initial operation.
The city of Pueblo is providing financial support from the ½ cent sales and use tax fund to assist the company with acquiring a building through a lease purchase as well as capital for the acquisition of equipment.
PEDCO also announced that KMG Electronic Chemicals, Inc. would be adding 19 jobs to its Pueblo plant. The deal originally approved by the Pueblo City Council at the end of the year was formally announced Monday.
KMG Chemicals, Inc. CEO and President, J. Neal Butler stated,
"The expansion of our Pueblo operation demonstrates KMG's dedication to serving the growing high-purity chemical needs of our global semi-conductor customers. We are proud of our world-scale facility in Pueblo as well as the talented and dedicated KMG employees who live and work in the community"
