The Pueblo Memorial Airport is conducting a full-scale mass casualty exercise Wednesday.
Emergency responders from nearly a dozen agencies in Pueblo are practicing their reactions to a mass casualty situation. Their efforts will be evaluated and critiqued by professionals from other emergency response departments.
The exercise is held every three years. This time, the scenario was supposed to simulate a plane crash with more than 80 victims.
When it is all over, everyone will meet to discuss how to improve their response.
