A man is in critical condition after he was hit while crossing the street.
Pueblo police said the 62-year-old man was crossing against the traffic signal when he was hit. His name has not been released.
Witnesses told police the car that hit him had a green light as it went through the intersection at Highway 50 and Bonforte Blvd. just after 6:15 p.m. Sunday.
The intersection is east of Highway 50 and I-25.
The pedestrian was crossing Highway 50 from north to south on the east side of the intersection, according to a news release. The car was traveling east on Highway 50 in the right lane.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Police said pedestrians should always obey crossing signals and, if walking at night, said it is a good idea to wear light-colored clothing.
