Interstate 25 has just reopened in both directions in Pueblo at the Bragdon exit after a series of accidents occurred Friday morning involving eight cars and a Colorado State Patrol trooper.
The multiple accidents and slide-offs happened between mile marker 108 and 112, north of Pueblo. The interstate closed around 5 a.m. and reopened just after 9 a.m. Friday.
A Colorado State Trooper was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while investigating the crash. The trooper was out of his patrol car helping the driver involved in a crash when that car was hit and pushed into him.
The trooper was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for moderate injuries.
The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind motorist of the importance of allowing for extra time during their commute and the need to slow down on icy roads.
