I-25 Reopens in Both Directions Just North of Pueblo

Interstate 25 has just reopened in both directions in Pueblo at the Bragdon exit after a series of accidents occurred Friday morning involving eight cars and a Colorado State Patrol trooper.

The multiple accidents and slide-offs happened between mile marker 108 and 112, north of Pueblo. The interstate closed around 5 a.m. and reopened just after 9 a.m. Friday.

A Colorado State Trooper was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while investigating the crash. The trooper was out of his patrol car helping the driver involved in a crash when that car was hit and pushed into him.

The trooper was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for moderate injuries.

The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind motorist of the importance of allowing for extra time during their commute and the need to slow down on icy roads.

Well tired motorist don't you think that the news van is trying to get closer to get the story so people (like you) can be warned about it before they get caught in it! Just saying!

I'm hearing reports that a state trooper was hit in this area while investigating the many crashes going on. I hope the trooper is OK. People: The snow/ice/poor roads are tricky. SLOW DOWN and PAY ATTENTION!!!

I would just like to say being stuck in traffic is no fun. Seeing other motorists, including your news van, exit off & right back on I25, just to get a few cars ahead is down right irritating. They should have to go to the back of the line!! I'll watch channel 5 from now on!
