The Stage II fire ban will not keep Pueblo from “lighting” up resident’s Fourth of July holiday.
Pueblo is offering two places for people to celebrate.
The 8th annual “Rollin’ on the Riverwalk” will take place Monday at the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo. The event will be complete with fireworks and local musicians.
Bring your lawn chairs out to the grass on the Riverwalk in front of the San Isabel Electric Association Outdoor Stage to enjoy a boat ride, music, and purchase food and refreshments provided by local vendors. Gates open at 3 p.m. Admission for the concert will be $2 for adults and $1 for children ages 4 to 12. Children under 3 are free.
The firework show will begin at dusk.
Here is the schedule of events in Pueblo West:
6:30am: Register for 5K run at Joe Martinez & Purcell Blvd.
7:30am: Snap Fitness/United Way Liberty Point 5K Fun Run/Walk
8 a.m.: - Oasis Christian Church will be holding a morning service under the tent at Civic Center Drive.
The Grand "WET" & "DRY" Parade starts at 10 a.m. with the "dry" entries, followed by the "wet and wild" entries, at the intersection of Purcell Blvd. and Joe Martinez Blvd. The parade ends at Civic Center Drive.
Many other events will take place during the day including the Punt Pass and Kick, kids carnival games, and a hot dog eating contest.
Fireworks will start at dusk, around 9 p.m. off of Palmer Lake Drive.
