Falling Asleep While Driving May Have Caused Fatal Accident

The Colorado State Patrol believes falling asleep at the wheel may be the cause of a fatal accident early Saturday morning.

CSP says a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 Business, outside Pueblo, when it drifted into the westbound lane and off the road, striking a utility pole. The force of the collision caused the truck to spin.

Thirty-four-year-old James Patti of Aurora, the only person in the truck, died at the scene. CSP says he was not wearing his seatbelt.

Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the accident. At this time, authorities think Patti fell asleep while driving.

Not only did a man die and all you can do is criticize the grammar, but his entire family including wife and 2 children had a their entire lives turned upside down. Their father's life was worth so much more than your petty, rude, inconsiderate comment! Try looking outside of yourself - you really aren't so brilliant!

Interesting how a man dies and all people can do is criticize the freaking grammar/spellling errors. Nice.

@KLP.... Another want to be spelling champion and english teacher. It clear you have nothing better to do than use your Everest College degree to criticize the story. Don't be such a tool.

"the only person in the truck, was died on scene." (This is copied direct from the original printed story) Really? I do not understand why stories are put up without being proofread first.....
