Driver Hits Building In Pueblo

Witnesses who saw a driver hit a building say the suspect ran away when they tried to talk to him.

It happened Monday morning on 5th and Main in Pueblo.

The driver reportedly hit a large blue mailbox, a bike rack and knocked over a light pole before hitting the building.

He was taken into custody at a nearby 7-Eleven, where he reportedly ran after gathering his belongings from the car and taking off.

Police have identified the man as 26-year-old Daniel Hernandez. He now faces several charges, including hit-and-run, possession of stolen license plates, careless driving, and driving under restraint.
