PUEBLO WEST, Colo. An armed man refused to come out of his home for hours, Monday. It happened on the 100 block of Spaulding Avenue in Pueblo West.

Pueblo County deputies responded to a suicidal call, where the man claimed he had a gun. As a precaution, deputies told neighbors to evacuate or stay inside their homes. Several agencies were involved, including SWAT and Pueblo West Fire.

For a few hours, deputies blocked off roads in the neighborhood. The incident ended just before 5:30p.m. when the man decided to come outside. Deputies say he was taken to get a mental health evaluation. The neighborhood opened up shortly after and people were able to return to their homes.
