Firefighters quickly extinguished a porch fire in Pueblo Thursday afternoon.

The fire started around 3 p.m. on the 1700 block of East 6th St. Quick response by firefighters kept the flames from ever spreading to the house.

According to officials, two people were at home when the fire started. One glanced out the window and saw flames on the back porch.

Firefighters pulled the back porch away from the rest of the house to extinguish it. The "all clear" was given at 3:40 p.m.

At this time, there is no word on a cause.
