A student at CSU-Pueblo is accused of starting his residence hall on fire.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office arrested Christian Cunningham,19, on arson charges.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Cunningham unintentionally set a futon on fire and tried to put it out himself. The smoke set off fire alarms and sprinklers in the dorm, and all 200 students were forced to evacuate. About 50 students couldn't return to their rooms Sunday night because of water damage.

The displaced students will stay in other dorms until the damage is cleaned up.
