A car chase has ended Thursday with an arrest in Pueblo County.

The Canon City Police Department says the chase began after receiving information about a woman possibly being abducted at knife-point. The car was located by Colorado State Patrol and pursued until it stopped on Highway 50 west at milepost 303. The chase ended at 11 a.m.

Brandon Atencio, 24, was taken into custody and was in possession of two knives. A woman was in the car with him but she told officers that she had no been abducted and was there on her own free will.

Atencio was arrested on outstanding warrants. The woman was released. Canon City police say they're still investigating where the abduction call originated.
