Pueblo police are looking for the suspect in an armed robbery just before Christmas.

Authorities say the man they want may be wounded from a fight during the incident.

The suspect strolled into JR's Country Store on the morning of Dec. 21 carrying a gun. Police say he threatened the clerk working the counter and demanded money.

The suspect then got involved in a fight, which police say ended with him stumbling out of the store, dropping his gun on the way. Police did not say who else was involved in the fight. The gun was recovered by police.

The suspect is described as an 18 to 20-year-old man, possibly Hispanic, 5-foot-5 and 140 to 150 pounds. Police described his complexion as "medium." He had a white mask covering his face. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie and jeans.

Police believe the suspect may have suffered a blow to the left of his head or neck area during the fight.

JR's Country Store is located at 1720 Constitution. The robbery was reported around 9 a.m.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP
