The Army says it expects to use explosives to destroy as many as 38,000 mustard agent shells at the Pueblo Chemical Depot.
It had once said 40,000 would be exploded.
Most of the Depot's 780,000 shells will be destroyed with water and bacteria. However, that process won't work on all shells, which is why they'll need to be blown up.
