A Grand Junction woman has admitted plotting to kill her husband by poisoning his whiskey.
Deone Graham faces up to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to solicitation to commit murder and other charges.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, Graham admitted she wanted to make her husband's death appear to be a suicide.
Authorities say Graham put morphine, eye drops and crushed pills into her husband's whiskey in February, making him partially blind and sick for three days. A police report says Graham suspected her husband was cheating on her and she wanted him dead to collect his retirement benefits.
