A former Mesa County Girl Scouts troop leader is accused of stealing nearly $6,000 from the troop's cookie fundraiser.

Carmen Wysong is accused of taking the money to make a deposit on a home and make payments on a truck, utilities and food.

According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, Wysong was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of felony theft and false reporting. She was being held Thursday on $7,500 bond at the Mesa County Jail.
