A Pueblo man was seriously injured in a single vehicle accident just west of Pueblo shortly after midnight Sunday morning.
Twenty-four year-old Ernest Valles was driving westbound on Highway 78 just west of Milepost 30, when his car drifted towards the right side of the road. Valles then over-corrected, sending his car into a spin off the other side of the road. His car then rolled and went airborne before coming to rest in a field next to the highway.
Valles was ejected in the accident. His condition is not known at this time, but Colorado State Patrol says he was seriously hurt.
According to State Patrol, Valles was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors in this accident.
