The new observation deck at One World Trade Center -- called "One World Observatory" -- will provide exquisite panoramic views of New York City, New Jersey and beyond.
On Tuesday, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey unveiled its plan for what one official is calling "the Yankee Stadium of Observation Decks."
Construction on the facility begins in 2014. It will open in 2015 and ticket prices will be set later, but will be in line with prices at other observation decks in the city.
Those who visit will be provided a full multi-media experience, from their entrance into the lobby to their exit, including the elevator rides up and down.
The observatory will take up floors 100, 101 and 102. It will feature 360-degree panoramic views of the Tri-State area, restaurants, gift shops and a theatre.
The observatory will be operated by "Legends" -- which is a hospitality company whose partners include the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.
