Maybe she wasn't /from/ your neighborhood. I'll assume all you critics are people who have never had a near miss of your own while driving. Perfect people that is. Or lost track of time or experienced any other "mind tricks" the brain can play. If the SUN was in her eyes, a YELLOW school bus might not be seen in the glare.

This driver was most likely driving streets very familiar to her. Not many people drive in a totally strange neighborhood first thing in the morning. She probably wasn't paying attention and hit a dang school bus! Good things no kids were hurt.

Okay, she didn't see the stop sign, but one would think she'd look both ways before driving into the intersection. How do you miss seeing a school bus?

How can you not see a school bus, even with the sun in your eyes? We know where the stop signs are in our neighborhood, she wasn't paying attention.

Soo; let me read it again; "she was cited for running a stop sign"....sooo what about -crashing- intentionally a school bus..I know this is strecthing the facts...but anything that happens as a consecuence of an knowlingly ilicit act, counts as another charge...thanks God nobody was injured..but laws and regulations should be though enough as to prevent this kind of reckless behavior!

The article says (with a little paraphrase) "she didn't see the stop sign". That is not the same as knowingly and recklessly plowing into an intersection as you imply. If that were the case, then yes, there would be extra charges for the endangerment to the kids etc.
