The battle over the budget continues this week in Washington.

Lawmakers are trying to figure out how to keep the government funded past the end of the month.

Lawmakers believe they can pass a resolution that would prevent a government shutdown, but, they will have to do it quickly because they have a two-week recess starting next week.

The resolution would keep the government operating beyond March 27th.

After that comes debate over the 2014 budget and the debt ceiling.

Despite several meetings between lawmakers and the President, all sides remain far apart.

We'll keep you updated with what our lawmakers decide.
