WASHINGTON (AP) -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says the U.S. would pursue "appropriate action" at the U.N. Security Council if North Korea goes ahead with a long-range rocket launch.

She said if North Korea wants a peaceful, better future for its people, it should not go ahead with the launch. She said it would be a direct threat to regional security and violate the North's obligations under existing Security Council resolutions.

Clinton made the comments Tuesday after meeting Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Gemba.

Gemba said Japan, a key U.S. ally, would cooperate with Washington and the international community in framing its response.

Neither official elaborated on what exactly that response would be.

Maybe Hillary should book a ride on this rocket so she can 1st hand what the North Koreans are up to. At least she will be serving our country insted of meddling in other countries affairs. Communist.

Watch, as the rest of the world whimps out. This, 'rocket,' is going to fly, and the rest of the world is going to sit by, monitor, and do nothing while NK gets away with violating supposedly important treaties. In the meantime, the media is going to report every last thing about it, and NK's new boy leader is grinning all the way.

If you're truly sick of bullies, then you would in no way shape or form support North Korea or anything it does.
