A suspected burglar who fell 24 feet to his death after allegedly breaking into a third-floor apartment is being identified as a 28-year-old Boulder man with a long history of arrests.

The Boulder County coroner says James Timothy McNutt died from head injuries Wednesday.

He was found alive but unconscious Monday on the ground outside an apartment building.

He died at a hospital.

Police believe he had entered the bedroom of a 57-year-old woman through a balcony, but fled when she screamed.

Colorado Bureau of Investigation records show McNutt had previously been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal mischief, menacing with a deadly weapon, drug crimes, trespassing and parole violations.

I knew "Jaime" personnely and what a sad case. He had a serious addiction that NOBODY would help him with, not even our goverment drug programs!Hopefully this will be a lesson to our tax payed drug programs to pay attention to people with serious addiction problems instead of treating them all the same. And a lesson for the group of "friends" that feed his addiction! Shame on you all! My heart goes out to him and hopefully he will finally find some peace inside. God Bless you Jaime, we love you...
