An Air Force Academy sergeant who formerly led the school's department in charge of drug and alcohol abuse has been sentenced to two years behind bars for three violations of the uniform code of military justice.
The Air Force Times said former Tech Sergeant Jeffrey Carlson, of the 10th Medical Operations Squadron, had been demoted and fired from his job before pleading guilty to violating the military code for wrongful use and distribution of a controlled substance, and soliciting another person to buy a controlled substance.
Carlson will also receive a dishonorable discharge.
Carlson was busted to basic airman and he will have to forfeit pay and allowances.
