El Paso County approved $2.3 million for nine road projects.
The Board of Commissioners designated the funds for the following projects:
District 1 (northern portion of the county): Bowstring Road Paving.
District 2 (eastern part of the county): Gravelling Meyers Road, the main east/west corridor in southern El Paso County; Construction of a well and pump in Ellicott; Paving Rio Road, Rio Lane; Repairs and improvements to Bennett Ranch Creek and Bluegill.
District 4 (southern area of the county including the city of Fountain): Reconstruction of the Security Ditch; Repairs and improvements to Woody Creek; Repairs and improvements to Forest Road; Repairs and improvements to Claiborne Street.
According to the board, most of the projects will begin later in the summer.
