Westminster police say a man accused of running a red light in a crash that killed a ten-year-old boy is a suspected Army deserter.
Police arrested 21-year-old Joshua Beadle late Friday for suspicion of drunken driving and vehicular homicide.
He is also under investigation for reckless and drunken driving causing death, driving while his license is under restraint, obstructing police and giving false information -- allegedly for giving police a false name and birth date.
Police say Beadle was accused of running a red light and striking a car carrying ten-year-old Cole Collins, who was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled.
Police say Beadle was charged with desertion from the U.S. Army in December.
