Two Dead After Head-On Collision

Two women died after a head on collision Tuesday on Highway 115 near Fort Carson.

The accident happened near Little Turkey Creek Road at 5:40 p.m.

One passenger in a Cadillac SLS died on scene. She has been identified as Sydney Dickey, 64. The driver of a Jeep Rubicon died at the hospital. She has been identified as Linda Kapler, also 64. Both women were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the Cadillac, James Dickey, was airlifted to Memorial Hospital. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Colorado State Patrol said the driver of the Jeep crossed the double-yellow line and crashed into the Cadillac.
